Drop year, or take the college seat?

PCM, 12th done. I have a decent private-college seat and a JEE rank I am not proud of. People at home want the drop. I want a plan, not a speech. What would you actually weigh?

    Weigh the seat you have against the rank you can realistically move, not against a dream rank. If a drop only works when everything goes right, start college and keep one hard exam window open. A drop is a job. Write the weekly hours before you say yes.
