Not knowing is more common than it looks, and it's a better starting point than being sure of the wrong thing. Let's turn confusion into a short, practical process. Step 1: Collect evidence about yourself Over two weeks, note: - Which subjects or tasks make you lose track of time? - What do people ask you for help with? - What do you watch or read when nobody's assigning it? - Which tasks drain you even if you're good at them? Step 2: Learn the three things that predict career fit 1. Abilities: verbal, numerical, logical, spatial reasoning. 2. Interests: the RIASEC types. Realistic (hands-on), Investigative (ideas), Artistic, Social (helping), Enterprising (leading/selling), Conventional (organising). 3. Personality and work style: do you prefer teams or solo work, structure or freedom?

Follow-up: How do I turn that into a shortlist? Match each insight to careers. For example, Investigative plus strong numbers points to data, research, engineering, finance. Social plus strong verbal points to teaching, psychology, law, HR, healthcare. Pick 5 careers to explore. For each, find out: what a normal day looks like, how you enter (degree and exam), and what the first job pays roughly. Watch "day in the life" videos and, ideally, talk to one real person in the job.

Follow-up: What if I like too many things? Then look for careers that combine them. Likes computers and art: UX, game design, animation. Likes biology and coding: bioinformatics. Likes law and business: corporate law. Combining interests often gives you a rarer, more valuable profile.

Follow-up: What if I like nothing? Often that's burnout or stress, not a lack of interests. Rest, then try small experiments: a weekend course, volunteering, a coding tutorial, a debate club. Interests often appear through doing, not thinking. If you feel low most days and nothing feels worth it, please talk to someone you trust or call Tele-MANAS at 14416. A structured shortcut: Guidopia's Career DNA measures your abilities, interests and personality through short games, then ranks careers by fit. You can then talk it through with the Career intelligence engine.
