Partly. Most engineering branches need maths in Class 12, but there are routes. What's open to PCB students - Biotechnology, biomedical, agricultural and food engineering at some colleges accept PCB, especially through state exams. AICTE has allowed flexibility in subject combinations, but each college and state sets its own rules, so check the specific admission brochure. - B.Sc Biotechnology / Microbiology / Bioinformatics, which overlap with engineering-style work in labs and industry. - B.Pharm, which accepts PCB. What's mostly closed without maths - JEE-based admission to IITs and most NITs needs PCM. - Core branches like CSE, mechanical, electrical and civil at most colleges. How to add maths You can take Mathematics as an additional subject through NIOS and then become eligible for many PCM-based admissions. It takes time and effort but it's a real option. Before you switch, ask why engineering? - Love for building and solving problems? Biomedical or biotech engineering may fit you perfectly. - Interest in coding? You can do BCA or B.Sc CS at many universities without Class 12 maths (check), or learn coding through bioinformatics. - Pressure or "better scope"? PCB has strong careers too. Guidopia's Career DNA can compare your fit for engineering-type and biology-type careers to help you decide whether the extra effort is worth it.
